I am an expert content creator with a passion for storytelling and a knack for the written word. From journalism and marketing campaigns to creative scriptwriting for games and entertainment, I use sharpened research, interview and writing skills to create accurate, unique and creative content. I’ve collaborated in daily print newsrooms as a staff journalist for about a decade, with my last post in a newsroom being Editor of The Garden Island Newspaper. Now I am a freelance content creator and journalist using my skills to better my local community and tell stories for various readerships that are insightful and engaging. About Me: I Like the Wild Places
I’ve followed my love for journalism on some incredible adventures and have been able to cover incredible stories as a reporter. After getting married in 2019 my byline received an overhaul. Now, near my work, you’ll find my name: Jessica Riggio. I’m a breast cancer survivor, a wife and mother, and an avid hiker. I’ve worked with newspapers on the island of Kauai, in eastern Oregon, Montana and in Wisconsin, where I currently live with my husband and our baby girl. In my backyard I’ve had sweeping canyon views and jungle scenes, mango trees and breathtaking fall leaves in their colors of scarlet and gold. I’m also a script, marketing and general content writer. I enjoy partnering with other inspired creatives to weave stories for games, books and marketing campaigns. Through it all, I’ve been able to write inspiring human stories, see incredible animals and explore some of the best wild places in America. I use these experiences as inspiration for achieving new goals, discovering new wonders and finding new stories to tell.
